With Mimeo Photos, it’s easy to make your own wedding photo book. We offer three ways for you to begin creating your book – on our Mac app, our iOS app, or on the web. Gather up the pictures you’ll include in your wedding photo book and select whether you’d like to create a layflat, hardcover or softcover book. We recommend either layflat or hardcover for wedding photo books. Then you can select the size for your book, along with the theme. Choose from 50+ designer themes or customize your book to your liking by using a blank theme. Add your photos, captions, and any other design elements you wish.

A wedding album or photo book should include the most special photos from your big day. You’ll want to include shots of the bride and groom, wedding party, and family and friends. Typically you’ll have a variety of photos to choose from, some that are detail shots of things like the wedding cake or bouquet, and some that are candids of people throughout the event. There’s no right or wrong answer to how many photos you should include in your wedding photo book! Every wedding is unique and different photographers will provide you with different amounts of final shots. With Mimeo Photos, you can add up to 130 pages in our layflat photo books and between 100-120 pages in the various sizes of our hardcover photo books. With the ability to add multiple photos to each page, this means you have ample space to showcase all of the most important photos from your wedding day.

Everyone’s wedding photo album will be slightly different, but a typical photo book for a wedding will include anywhere from 50 to 140 pages total.

Most wedding albums are arranged in a chronological order, highlighting detail shots and getting ready pictures first, followed by first look photos (if applicable), then wedding party and family photos, the ceremony, the reception, and the send-off. However, you can arrange your wedding photo book in the order that works best for you. With Mimeo Photos, it’s easy to rearrange the order of individual pages and spreads, so you can always move things around if you decide on a different order for your photos after you begin designing.

Typically wedding albums and wedding photo books are rectangular in shape. We offer two sizes of rectangular books in our layflat and hardcover formats. The rectangular shape gives you additional space on each page to showcase your photos and allows for landscape oriented photos to be printed across both pages, which is best reproduced in a layflat photo book where details won’t get lost along the center binding.

It’s up to you how long you spend designing your wedding photo album, but it doesn’t have to be a time intensive process. Photo books make for great guest books! You can make a photo book of engagement photos and leave lots of white space for your guests to sign. Or you can create a book with prompts for your guests to fill out, asking them to give the bride and groom advice or well wishes.
